Drugs Need correction?

Loaneal
So just a general question to the community as a whole on this one, but one of the big changes from manual v1.22 to v1.23 was the drugs themselves were changed in how they worked. It changed from a straight temp SPECIAL boost to bonus to roll, which as a whole I am super in favor of as I think as a whole it is way better.

Now I say in general as some drugs, most notably Buck (and to a lesser extent other STR and END boosters like alcohol) perform less mechanically than they did in the past. Unlike most SPECIAL stats STR and END stats have a direct relation to ones physical state in terms of how much one can do damage or survive attacks. A maxed Melee or Unarmed character for example used to get an additional +15 damage from v1.22's version of Buck and an additional 2 wounds before getting maimed (from the END) compared to v1.23's, and it kind of makes Buck underwhelming as whole really. I don't know if this was intended or just caught up in the whole shifting to a better system or not...

Just looking at fiction and such Buck tends to engorge and strengthen muscles and stuff so I would think overall it should help do more damage for physical attackers? I dunno this is just my thoughts and I was wondering what everyone else thought. There are straight damage dealing drugs like Stampede and Slasher, but I just feel like Buck shouldn't get left int he dust you know?

Flagging this for a later follow up.  Basic gist of it is, yes, the drugs were caught up in the system change and the additional abilities weren't added in to maintain the drug's efficacy.

One of my friends was taking opiate for a long time and now he has turned into an addict who has also lost his job due to over consumption. I am now thinking to take him to addiction counseling Virginia clinic with his consent. Hopefully will find a reputed clinic soon.
